Cookies and similar technologies may be used to store or access information on your device.
SustaPlates uses them to operate the platform, maintain security, remember preferences and, where permitted, perform technical analytics.
2. Essential technologies
SustaPlates currently uses essential technologies including:

3. Functional technologies
SustaPlates may use:
sst_theme;sst_palette;sst_sidebar_collapsed;sst_gs_dismissed_*;sst_signup_intent;sst_subscribe_routed_*.
These support interface preferences and registration/subscription flows.
4. Optional analytics/error monitoring
Sentry may be activated only where the relevant consent requirements have been satisfied.
SustaPlates does not currently deploy:
- Google Analytics;
- Google Tag Manager;
- Meta Pixel;
- Microsoft Clarity;
- Hotjar;
- LinkedIn Insight Tag;
- advertising/remarketing pixels.
5. Consent
Where consent is required, users must be given a genuine choice.
The cookie banner should provide:
Accept All
Reject Non-Essential
Manage Preferences
Users should be able to change their choices through Cookie Settings.
6. Cookie consent is separate
Accepting the Terms & Conditions does not constitute consent to optional cookies.
Marketing consent is also separate.
7. Registration consent
The registration checkbox should state:
☐ I have read and agree to the SustaPlates Terms & Conditions.
☐ I have read and agree to the SustaPlates Marketplace, Seller & Charity Rules and acknowledge the SustaPlates Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
8. Marketing consent
A separate optional checkbox should state:
☐ I would like to receive SustaPlates news, offers and promotional communications by email. I understand that I can unsubscribe at any time.
It must not be pre-ticked.
9. Location permission
Location permission should be separately requested by the browser.
Suggested wording:
Allow SustaPlates to use your location?
We use your location to help identify nearby sellers, buyers and charitable organisations. You can decline permission and continue using SustaPlates.
10. Changes to cookie policy
This Policy may be updated when technologies or legal requirements change.
